Speed & Sport Adventures is a company founded in 2020 by a group of professional off-road riders and industry experts. Led by former Dirt Rider magazine editors Ken Faught and Mark Kariya, the company also includes Destry Abbott (Off-Road legend), Grant Langston (FIM World Motocross Champion / AMA 125cc Regional Supercross Champion / AMA 450cc National Motocross Champion), Colin Edwards (2-time FIM World Superbike Champion), Andrew Short (former AMA Supercross Rider turned Dakar Rally star), Cody Webb (former EnduroCross Champion), Paul Krause and Scott Bright (former Dakar Rally racers), Kevin Hines (former AMA National Enduro Champion), Matt Buyten (Multi-time X-Games Gold Medalist), and many more.

The company’s focus is on ultra-high-end tours, and they bring along celebrity riders to raise the level of fun.

“When Mark Kariya and I worked at Dirt Rider magazine, we were fortunate enough to travel all over the world covering some of the best tour companies,” said Managing Member Ken Faught. “Mark and I literally got paid to ride in places like Peru, Canada, Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Australia and New Zealand. We worked on the plan for Speed & Sport Adventures for several years before we debuted our first event in Park City, Utah called The Legend’s Ride.

“I was lucky enough to be on the company’s first ride and it was absolutely incredible,” said former AMA 125cc National Motocross Champion Guy Cooper. “They base the ride out of a 27,000 square foot log cabin, and have incredible food, fun entertainment, and it’s a very exclusive group.”

“We typically have about a dozen riders on each tour,” said Destry Abbott. “This way we can keep a good pace, see lots of amazing sights, and do some epic riding. We also have mechanics, an EMT and some other things like helicopter rides which put our tours in a league of their own.”

“The rides are pricey, but worth every penny,” said Ross Liberty who was one of the customers on the inaugural ride. “They do everything right and the staff is absolutely incredible. I have lots of great memories from our ride. It’s full bucketlist stuff.”
